Matthew Thwaites - Statistical Analyst and Director in Austin, Texas

Performance advertisement marketing and business intelligence professional Matthew Thwaites is the director of analytics at Open Loot Studios. The Austin, Texas-based company offers the world’s largest catalog of miniature terrain, backgrounds, and models for tabletop gaming enthusiasts. In his role, he oversees the development and deployment across six gaming portfolios. Together with his team of eight engineers, Matthew Thwaites has achieved an increase in purchase conversion rates, reduced fraud attempts, and a 10 per cent increase in Neural Processing Unit (NPU) and Average Revenue per User (ARPU) by eight per cent.

Matthew Thwaites graduated cum laude from Yale University with a bachelor of arts in economics in 2013. In all four years, he participated in varsity track and field and cross country. His academic recognitions and leadership roles included being a 2013 recipient of the Presidential Fellowship, representing Yale at the Center of the Presidency and Congress (CSPC), and serving as president of Trumbull College. The president is elected by a student body of 450 members. After Yale, between 2022 and 2014, he earned a master of business administration in statistics and data science from the University of Pennsylvania.
